My Rasi — your personal day

Your moon sign (rasi) is the sign the Moon was in when you were born; Indian astrology reads daily and yearly predictions from it. Your lagna (ascendant) is the sign rising on the eastern horizon at your birth time and place; it shapes your personality and the houses of your chart. Your sun sign is the sign the Sun was in. Western horoscopes use the tropical sun sign, while Vedic astrology uses the sidereal one, which is usually one sign behind.

Enter your date of birth, and if you know them, your birth time and place. The Moon changes sign every two to two and a half days, so the date alone usually gives your rasi. If the Moon changed sign on your birthday, we show both possibilities until you add the time.
