Kundali matching
Enter the birth details of the boy and the girl. You get the 36-point guna milan, the 10 South Indian poruthams, and the doshas families ask about (Nadi, Bhakoot, Rajju, Vedha, Chevvai), in plain words.
Questions people ask
How many gunas are needed for marriage?
Out of 36, 18 or more is traditionally acceptable, 24 or more is good, and 28 or more is excellent. Families also look at Nadi and Bhakoot dosha and, in South India, Rajju and Vedha, because a high score with those doshas still needs care.
What is the difference between guna milan and porutham?
Guna milan (Ashtakoota) is the North Indian system of 8 kootas worth 36 points. Porutham is the South Indian system of 10 checks used in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, where Rajju and Vedhai are treated as essential.
Can I match without the birth time?
Yes. Guna milan and porutham need only the moon sign and birth star, which the date usually gives. Chevvai dosham (Manglik) needs the birth time and place, because it is counted from the lagna.
What is Nadi dosha?
When the boy and girl share the same Nadi (Aadi, Madhya or Antya), Nadi koota scores 0 of 8. Tradition links it to health and children. It is considered cancelled when the rasi is the same but the stars differ, or the star is the same but the rasi or pada differs.
What is Rajju porutham?
The 27 stars fall into five Rajju groups (feet, waist, navel, neck, head). If both stars are in the same group, Rajju does not match. In Tamil tradition it is one of the most important checks.
Matching is a traditional guide, not a verdict on two people. Discuss with family and a trusted astrologer before deciding.
